Christian Point Trail

Christian Point Trail is a backcountry hiking route in Everglades National Park that follows an old road bed through buttonwood forest and mangrove edges before arriving at the shore of Florida Bay. The trail is seldom crowded and offers a genuinely remote feel even by Everglades standards. The route passes through habitat that transitions from interior wetland to coastal saltwater environment, and the variety of vegetation and birdlife reflects that change. The endpoint at Florida Bay opens up a sweeping coastal view and the possibility of spotting shorebirds, osprey, and the occasional crocodile along the waterline.
