Site 113 is a numbered backcountry campsite in Everglades National Park, part of the extensive system of paddle-access overnight stops that make the park a destination for serious wilderness canoeists and kayakers from across the country and beyond. Getting there means committing to the Everglades on its own terms — no shortcuts, no motors allowed in most backcountry zones, just water, weather, and wildlife.
Nights in the Everglades backcountry are unlike anything in urban South Florida: the darkness is complete, the sounds are entirely wild, and the night sky is filled with stars rarely visible from Miami. A permit is required.
