Shark Valley Visitor Center

The Shark Valley Visitor Center is the main hub for the Shark Valley area of Everglades National Park, one of the most accessible and wildlife-rich entry points into the park. The visitor center provides maps, exhibits, and ranger programs that help orient visitors before they set out on the tram tour, bike loop, or walking path that circles the valley. Shark Valley is famous for its extraordinary density of alligators, which can be seen basking along the road in extraordinary numbers during the dry season. The 15-mile loop and the 65-foot observation tower at its midpoint are the highlights of any visit to this section of the Everglades.
