Ripley's Believe It or Not!
Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium sits on bustling Duval Street in Key West, the southernmost stretch of the Florida Keys. Part of the global franchise born from explorer and cartoonist Robert Ripley's lifelong hunt for the strange and unbelievable, the Key West location gathers the oddities he collected on his travels around the world into one gleefully bizarre museum.
Inside its nearly 10,000 square feet you will find more than 500 exhibits spread across themed galleries. Highlights include a shrunken head once owned by Ernest Hemingway, a towering prehistoric mastodon skeleton, a car covered entirely in U.S. dimes, and a life-size figure of Robert Wadlow, the tallest man who ever lived. Hands-on touches like the wax-hand station make it a genuinely interactive, family-friendly stop.
Visitor tip: it is an easy, air-conditioned escape from the Key West heat and works for all ages, with children under four admitted free. Combine it with a walk down Duval Street's bars, shops and galleries, or fold it into a wider day of Florida Keys sightseeing.
